Recent development has focused on Photo’s editing tools and stability, broader RAW and file support in Darkroom, and a substantial PDF upgrade. Design and the other Office apps remain part of the wider development plan.

Next comes complete workflow testing: open, edit, save, reopen and export, with clearer file support and a more dependable preview for testers.

The 9 September Kickstarter preview now brings the current Photo fixes and Darkroom RAW/colour work together, with original app icons, a shared launcher and bundled runtimes. Extract the download and open NeoWorks.exe to try it.

What is the NeoWorks mission?

Own your software again. We are building capable creative and productivity apps for Windows around a permanent licence, no mandatory monthly subscription and development shaped by users.

What is NeoWorks Photography?

Photo and Darkroom are the two photography apps leading the current preview. They are part of the wider eight-app NeoWorks family.

Is Darkroom available now?

Darkroom is included in the early Photo + Darkroom preview. Its RAW, colour and file workflows continue to develop, and newer changes may not yet be in the available package.

What about the other NeoWorks apps?

Design, Writer, Sheet, NeoWorks PDF Editor, NeoWorks Database and NeoWorks Calendar remain central to the suite. They continue in development; follow the progress page for their status.

Will I need a monthly subscription?

No mandatory monthly subscription is central to the NeoWorks vision. You keep using the version you purchase. Final licence and campaign terms will be published before launch.
